Community Guidelines

Be honest

• Describe your home as it actually is, including the awkward bits.
• Use current photos of your own home.
• Be yourself. Use your real name and a real photo of you.

Be responsive

• Reply to messages, even when the answer is no. A short “thanks, but those dates don’t work for us” is worth a lot.
• If your plans change, say so early. Someone else is planning around you.

Be respectful

• No harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination, including on the basis of race, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.
• Don’t pressure anyone into a swap or into sharing details.
• Keep messages relevant to swapping homes.

Treat homes as you’d want yours treated

• Leave the home as you found it, or better.
• Agree in advance about pets, plants, cleaning, guests and parking.
• Tell the other member promptly if something breaks.

Not allowed

• Charging another member to stay, or listing a home for rent.
• Advertising other services or platforms.
• Listing a home you don’t have the right to offer.
• Creating multiple accounts.
• Collecting or sharing other members’ personal information.

Reporting

Every member profile and home listing has a “Report” option. Use it if you see something dishonest, unsafe or unpleasant. Reports go to our team, and we may hide a listing, suspend an account or remove a member.

If you are ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
